Tentative high mark,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
While a little expensive for one item of kitchenware, especially one that you might imagine not using all that often, there's no doubt that this product looks fantastic and no one can deny the appeal of a traditional egg slicer, even if it's only used on those rare occasions when you feel the need to impress and decide to do it with eggs.
The product video also makes this item look like a miniature miracle worker, but after a couple of attempts I'm just not completely sold on it yet. However, as the quality of the egg you're using as well as how you've cooked it also contributes to the final result, I don't think a negative review would be entirely fair. The main problem I've encountered so far being the perch on which the egg sits, which I would have thought should cradle the egg more and spread the amount of pressure being applied to the egg over its surface, rather than concentrating it at one point. This appears to have been the cause of my eggs not slicing cleanly, but I concede I may just lack the required eggs-pertise.
The design, while lovely, also seems flawed with the number of unnecessary crevices, which makes cleaning the product (in anything other than a dishwasher) a bit of a chore.
With the aesthetic the only thing that's missing is a range of colours to suit every kitchen.
