This review is from: Iron Man: My Journey Through Heaven and Hell with Black Sabbath (Hardcover)
Tony Iommi is a metal legend and I love his work, but this is a poor book. It's clearly a verbatim transcript of a few chats down the pub and as a consequence it's rambling and full of disjointed memories and non-sequiturs. People appear unintroduced and without context so that you need to know in advance who they are. Terence Butler just appears as "Geezer" - no full name, no explanation, no context. John Bonham also turns up out of nowhere and if you didn't know who he was or why he was important, the book wouldn't do much to help you.
I wanted to like it, but it was very hard going.

if you think that "Geezer" needs an introduction then maybe this book is not for you! Did you know who "Ozzy" or "Bill" were without introductions? How about "Black Sabbath" heard of them?
