Don't be Fooled,
This review is from: Ginger and Fred [DVD] (DVD)
Don't be fooled by the title and cover picture for this dvd. It is not about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. I was looking forward to watching Fred and Ginger in action and instead was presented a very poor substitute.

I fully agree...this absurd review pulls the average down by several points and should be removed. By the way: I have seen this movie also at least 15 times and love it

Who on earth buys a DVD based purely on the title and cover? It may have well been about Ginger Baker and Freddie Mercury for all you would have known. More fool you for not researching this first. As for giving it a poor review just because YOU made a mistake thinking it was a different film, how ridiculous is that!

I have never read a more funny review!!!
Of COURSE it is not about Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire... it as about nostalgy and love and ageing and love and dancing and love and two fantastic actors pretending they are a pair of hams pretending to be still good on their feet...I shan't say it is Fellini at his best, because I don't know what is not Fellini's best. I am sorry you didn't like it. Perhaps you should, after some time, see it again without looking at the cover. I believe you will NOT be disappointed... and perhaps rewrite your on-impulse review.
By the way... I saw the film ages ago, and now I jump on the opportunity on getting it on DVD...

This is one of the most moronic reviews I have ever read. Didn't it strike you as odd that Ginger and Fred were still making films together in 1986? Streuth!!

Dr Konrad Schneckenhauer says:
Suewi - the fact that YOU were fooled does not justify you giving a one-star rating. You should rate the film for the thing it is, not for the thing you mistakenly thought it should be. One star may be an expression of irritation, but you must understand that the irritation should be directed at yourself for making a mistake, not at the film. From which it follows that you should remove your review, because it is not about the film at all.
