Perfect so far!! June 2016 - died.,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Philips HD9300/90 Daily Collection Kettle, 1.5 Litre, 2400 Watt - Black (Kitchen & Home)
After my trials with the Morphy Richards Opera [Graphite], when it finally died, noisily spluttering steam, boiling water and us cheering, I had to go back to looking at reviews and so on. But this one had not been reviewed anywhere at all. So I looked at the Phillips range and saw that this one may well have been a redesign of a previous good'un. So I took a chance:
So far - It is lighter than the Morphy Richards - good.
It pours nicely - the spout has a good V shape.
It is easy to fill through the spout.
The top opens easily, no struggle, and closes with a firm click.
On /off switch - clean and firm operation.
Handle - easier to hold and manipulate than the M-R.
Boils more quickly than the M-R
Much quieter than the M-R.
Visible window clearer than the M-R.
A good price - and although the Amazon description does not say so, it has a 2 year guarantee - all you need is proof of purchase, you don't have to register.
So far, our new kettle is doing well - Morphy Richards Opera - RIP!!
UPDATE JUNE 2016 - it just died - just out of guarantee - I have ordered another as "him indoors" can cope with using it, weight and shape,
