Mediocre I'm afraid.,
This review is from: The Coffee Trader (Paperback)
I really enjoyed "A conspiracy of paper", and hoped for a bit better from this offering.
The plot is finely crafted and middlingly presented, but I feel the characters are weak. Miguel Lienzo is just about believable, but that is where it ends for me. Hannah, Daniel, Solomon Parido, even Geertruid, none of them come across to me as anything more than outlines. The motivations for their actions are not as clear as they ought to be.
If you have nothing better to do, read this book - but I would advise anybody to find something better to do.
