Good case but has a major flaw!,
This review is from: Griffin Survivor Military Tested Case for iPhone 4/4S - Black (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Bought this case after seeing good reviews in the media about how well it protected the iphone, which it does. However it has one major flaw - the 'home' button sticks out too far so when the phone is in my pocket it is constantly activating voice control - this had lead to numerous calls being made without me realising. I know the case comes with a belt clip but it's not always safe for me to use it so it looks like I'll have to try to disable the voice control on my phone :(

I to have bought this case, i like the easier access, it makes life much easier when using with gloves on, so a bit of 'ying and yang' :).
Typing is made mire difficult due to the thickness of the middle bumper, and the mute switch is easily moved to off by the rubber cover.
it is a problems that can be easily solved with a craft knife, simply by shaving some material or the extensions inside.
One advantage is the wife can bounce my phone at me around a corner during an argument, and it survives!

An in-car holder for this case would be a god send too..

My Iphone 3gs does that without the case (making calls via voice control), it was a very serious problem that almost made me give up on an otherwise great device. There is only one real solution: password protect your voice dial - Settings->General->Passcode Lock->Voice Dial

Shave some rubber off the home button on the inside of the case & make the outer rised button flush ... This now works fine no miss dialling or overuse of the home button ( do these company's still test their products ) I found out this problem in a matter of hours !!

Good tip, but unfortunately you still get the problem of voice control being activated when your phone should be silent, which is very embarrassing if you're in a meeting

I removed all the flaps and the home button completely by making a neat flap. I then made the hole in solid plastic part bigger so i can just push the home button directly with the case still on.
Much better now with no hassle of flaps or the home button sticking out or not feeling quite right after I tried shaving some of the inner rubber off.
They're only £7.99 on Ebay.
