I could not agree more with this review, infact it is word for word what I would have written myself!
'Desirous of ambulation' confirmed that this would be the last of this series that I purchase.

This review is from: Return to the Olive Farm (Paperback)
Having read, and loved, the three previous Olive books I found this one very disappointing - irritating in fact. This was Carol Drinkwater, a woman possessed, boring us with her personal campaign against Dacus. I commend the basic bio principle but her personal zeal does not warrant a book. The book is in two parts - one that fills her days with the obsessive mission (very boring reading) and the second with lengthy, flowery descriptive prose best suited to a travel brochure. She also decided to swallow a dictionary in this book - quite unnecessary to prove her command of English - and laughable when you read 'desirous of ambulation' instead of 'feeling like a walk' . I am not surprised Michel escapes to Paris or elsewhere at every possible moment and that she exasperates poor Quashia. I commend her dedication but please no more books like this - stick to the style of the previous three. Comments
