Beautiful little book,

This review is from: Edwardian House Style Handbook (Paperback)
This is only a small book, but the pages are glossy and the pictures are clear and bright. It's got lots of examples of Edwardian styles, from tiles to wallcoverings. My only complaint is that it concentrates on grand houses and doesn't give much away on how working class families decorated their houses. My tiny Edwardian terrace definitely never had a fireplace or library corner in the hall, and I'd hoped for a few more examples of what that sort of house might have looked like. Nevertheless, there are some great examples of Edwardian ingenuity in this book, so it would appeal to people interested in upper-class lifestyles as well as home interiors. It feels a bit mean to dock it a star because it is such a nice book, but I do feel it's missing something.
