A good trilogy,

This review is from: Abhorsen (Hardcover)
I loved sabriel, it brought a whole new realm of fantasy to life, but i cant help but feel from that point on, something was missing. I didnt like the way the first book focused on Sabriel and then for the the other two books it all revolved around Lirael. I still enjoyed the books but felt the first book (altho the best) seemed a bit pointless.
I think Sabriel was a good strong start, but unfortunately it dwindled off and became a bit too predictable.
The problem i found with Abhorsen was it felt like huge chunks had been edited out, as somethings that should have been explained weren't. There was also an heir of convenience to it, which is annoying.
But it is still a very good read, as it not an area of fantasy that is written about enough.
