MW not too good.,
I bought mine slightly cheaper on ebay. They are very good for the price. However, it does not receive ALL shortwave coverage between around 5 and 21 MHz. There are a lot of gaps meaning certain frequencies are missed. Example: SW1 5.78-6.20MHz. SW2 7.21-7.69MHz. SW3 8.52-9.17MHz. SW4 10.73-11.50MHz. SW5 12.81-13.49MHz. SW6 14.11-14.84MHz. SW7 20.76-21.70MHz.
This is how mine is. But they are still great for the money.
And, on the plus side, Shortwave coverage is surprisingly sensitive. FM isn't bad either. However, MW is very poor. I have a terrible job listening to 5live. And there are SOME stations I cannot get at all, OR very faint. But my local station comes through, not too bad. Still good for the money though. Clock is very accurate too. Unlike some. As for the alarm. Don't expect a buzzer. It simply turns the radio on when the alarm time is reached. A buzzer would have been much better.
As I say, very reasonable for the pruce. And a nice design, too.
