AN UNBELIEVABLE GREAT WORK,
This review is from: New Wave - Jazz On Film (Audio CD)
What a lovely boxset. Remastering is at his highest quality. Love the sleeve notes by Richard Neupert. Cant wait for the next release, brilliant, so well done
The overall presentation of this box is certainly different, it has foil engravings where the usual jazz on film series had spot gloss. I was attracted to the packaging initially then when I opened its contents I was not disappointed. I see its had a lot of reviews and quite rightly so, its a independent jazz compilation and needs to be recognised as that. I'm surprised it doesn't have more then the reviews it has already. Very large fan base and a well respected one at that. Also sound and booklet inside were both great.

As this is clearly a response to my previous review I thought I'd make a brief comment. If this is 'an unbelievable great work' why only 3 stars? Seriously, have you read the booklet? It's semi-literate in places, I'm tempted to post some extracts up to prove the point! You state 'it has foil engravings where the usual jazz on film series had spot gloss'... well that makes it a must buy obviously, If only all my CDs had foil engravings :). These reviews read like someone's got their mates to write them, why are people reviewing the efforts of the producer and sleeve note writer rather than the actual music? Most of the reviews read like school reports for the compiler of the set... 'good work', 'well done', 'excellent effort', 'should try harder', 'needs to concentrate more in class' (I made the last two up). It's a bit strange. Having said that if you like jazz sound tracks to 'New Wave' films then this is a pretty good box set as it contains loads of jazz sound tracks to 'New Wave' films

Lisa McIntosh says:
Hello! if your that passionate about it all why don't you ask for a refund? I think it's extremely rude to put down other people's views. its for people to review, agreeing or not agreeing. I bought mine after seeing the add in BB6 music and i love it. maybe if your that upset over it ask for a refund?

At the risk of getting told off for reviewing your review criticising my review for reviewing other people's reviews why would I ask for a refund of a box set I have said is good with excellent music (foil engravings or not)?

Words like "unbelievable", "great", "highest quality", "lovely", "love", "brilliant" and "not disappointed" seem somewhat at odds with a three star review?
