2.0 out of 5 stars Dull as dishwater, 17 Sept. 2012
This review is from: Coexist (Audio CD)
I purchased 'Coexist' on the day of release, without having heard a single song from it. I did this purely on the strength of their debut.
I will certianly have to be more cautious in the future!I have tried so hard to like The XX's 2nd outing, but I'm afraid I have found it truly
forgettable. Such a shame when their last album was full of memorable moments. It just doesn't have any great songs, lacks melody and any original lyrical ideas.

Best to pop onto Spotify and have a listen first, this has saved me from many bad cd purchases.

This is exactly the scenario I encountered.

@chas.telson1 - I usually do that but skipped it on this album, just because how much I enjoyed the first one.
