The Key 2 Time Finale,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Key 2 Time: Chaos Pool Pt. 3 (Doctor Who) (Audio CD)
1)Peter Davison gives a great performance in this final part to the Key 2 Time trilogy.
2)Great supporting cast including David Troughton & Lalla Ward.
3)A excellent conclusion to this trilogy of adventures.
This like the previous release is jammed packed full of content that requires the full attention of the listener as the plot can seem at times confusing.
Lalla Ward appeared in the final story of the original Key To Time as Princess Astra who was in fact the final segment, Ward went onto play Romana for 2 seasons with Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor in season 17 & 18, But what role does she play in this audio adventure?
2 CD 4 episode story, Running Time 120 minutes, Trailer, Behind the scenes interviews.
The Doctor's quest is nearing it's end, Two alien races are at war, A jettisoned Tardis in deep space & there is Chaos & Order stirring within the universe.
The Doctor's old companions & enemies are returning as the universe teeters on the brink of destruction & for the Doctor a choice on the fate of the universe must be made.
This final part of the Key 2 Time trilogy more than delivers in a very well character driven story by writer Peter Anghelides who more than delivers a satisfactory conclusion here far better than the original tv season did.
The cast are all on fine form but credit must go to Peter Davison who's performance as the Doctor holds everything together.
The plot is a complex one as there is a lot to the story's narrative to explain & maybe is a little to complex for it's own good at times but does at least deliver a decent satisfying conclusion.
This trilogy has more good points to it than it does bad as the three writers who have written for this trilogy have delivered 3 fast paced intriguing character driven storys with some epic action scenes thrown in for good measure & the Gaurdians are written far better than they were on tv.
If your a fan of the original Key To Time with the Fourth Doctor on tv you should find this an enjoyable & entertaining sequel.
A highly recommended trilogy.

Paul Tapner says:
I wish they'd do more with the guardians. They were such a great double act.
