Newbie lace knitter,
This review is from: The Harmony Guides: Lace & Eyelet Stitches: 250 Stitches to Knit (Paperback)
As a newbie to lace knitting I'd been searching for a collection of lace stitches and didn't seem overly impressed by the Vogue collections, so when I found this book I had to refrain from sprinting to the checkout. There aren't any charts, so if you don't like knitting without them I wouldn't really recommend this book (unless you have the patience to do them yourself).
There are a nice variety of patterns (to this newbie anyway) and while I haven't had the chance to try any out, they look like they're quite easy to follow. The only thing I'm not really fond of in this book is that the yarns they've used to swatch with look quite silky and I find it a bit difficult to imagine how the patterns might look on matt yarn.
If you like designing yourself, and are looking for some lace ideas then this is a good book for you.
