do you need a 3d tv to watch this one?

M. A. Bennett says:
To watch in normal 2D no, to watch in real 3D yes (as well as a 3D tv and matching glasses, a 3D compatible blu ray player is also required).
Most 'Blu-ray 3D' discs function as a normal 2D blu ray in any blu ray player, as will this one according to the other reviews here.
Confusingly, some older blu rays (and dvds) have 'in 3-D' on the cover, with the '3-D' version on a separate disc (playable on any tv) and cheap blue/red glasses inside the case.
These were produced mainly before 'proper 3D' was launched successfully and are head-ache inducing to watch. In fact so dreadful they actually set 'real 3D' back, as many who have only seen these versions still think 3D is a rubbishy (is that a word?) gimmick.
Real 3D used effectively can be amazing, have a look at some in-store demos if you need convincing.
