A moving and gratingly horrifyingly real life account of two people estranged by the myths and lies of the Catholic Church.,

This review is from: Philomena: The true story of a mother and the son she had to give away (film tie-in edition) (Kindle Edition)
Having watched the film I ordered the book as soon as I got home. The book reveals more of the struggles and rejection of the Magdalens of the 60s. Can the church ever apologise enough to ease the pain and sadness felt by such a regime? Unlikely but this book acknowledges what they went through and acclaims their stoicism and honest, true love.
