I think you've explained the reason for your disappointment. Listening once and forwarding to the next track is not what an album with this depth of lyric is about. You need a One Direction CD if instantaneous and meaningless pop is what you want.
If you really listen, several times, you'll possibly begin to understand how heartfelt and meaningful this album is. That aside, the music alone is brilliantly written and produced.
I don't see the point in reviewing something you've barely listened to. That's like reviewing a book after only reading a synopsis.
