Really really bad. For some reason I had to finish it before I wrote a review. Two days of horror and tedium I will never get back in my life. The author's grasp of basic physics is none existant (the ship has to apply brakes to stop). The central character (only character!) is whiney miserable and ignorant. The time travel stuff is just boring crap.
The author should stay away fron sf (I'll be staying away from him!). He really wanted to write about a man on deset island. He should have.
Don't waste your time with this author.

John W. Edelman says:
So Emmy and Guy and Elena and Quin and Wanda weren't characters in this book? You're aware of first person narrative, I assume, so why say there is only one character?
The ship applies retro thrust, which would have a braking effect- at least according to Newton.
Everyone's entitled etc. etc. but maybe it's you who should stay away from innovative and original concepts in Science Fiction.
