Where to look for records at the click of a mouse,
This review is from: Your Family Tree Online (Paperback)
This book demonstrates how the internet has transformed family history from the preserve of learned genealogists to one of the world's most popular amateur hobbies. No more draughty churchyards or dusty records offices, it shows you where to look at the click of a mouse from the comfort of your living room.

"No more draughty churchyards or dusty records offices[...]"
Hm, have to disagree on that point. The internet is certainly a terrific resource but you can't do decent genealogical research in any depth without still visiting RO's and other archives to expand on, or confirm/confound your inital findings.
It remains true that only a portion of what exists is available online and, whatever you do find, don't rely on other people's uploaded research or transcription without checking details against original records for yourself, or you may end up barking up the wrong tree entirely. ;)
