4.0 out of 5 stars Very good and just icky enough to hold kids interest, 28 Nov. 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How To Eat Fried Worms (Orchard Readalones) (Paperback)
This is a good chapter book for a eight to ten year old. It's funny and just icky enough to keep kids interested. I read the first chapter out loud and then my daughter took over and read it under the covers with a flashlight that night.
There are a number of insights into social processes. The kids are well fleshed out characters.
There are lots of things to talk to your kids about in the book. If you have time before they finish it, that is.

Insights into social processes? Lots of things to talk about? It's a funny book for kids about eating worms, for heaven's sake. Just let them read it and have a good laugh.

Some books are filled with useless pap and others go much deeper and not only entertain but educate. The reviewer noted this and made these comments. Reviews are subjective and each one is different.
