OK but it could've been a whole lot better,
This review is from: Live&Intermittent (Audio CD)Well, the first two tracks are from the Hurra's, N.Y.C. 2/8/1979, a soundboard recording, totally uncomplete, the show is available for years on cassette form, a good one, can't understand why there're only two tracks, it lasts over 40' in its entirety.
Then, the tracks 3-9 come from the Whiskey show, 1/9/1979, recorded from audience I think, again an uncomplete show, choice of tracks (for the performance ?) dubious but as I don't own the show, a welcome addition.
Last (10-17) from 'Family Hotel' (?), Sydney, 10/9/1980; less interesting cos' at the place of Mc Geoch (achieving huge success -along with Dave Formula- with Visage, also with Siouxsie), we've the honest Robin Simon also featured on Play expanded edition.
So at my sense, fav' Rollins' new-wave act doesn't get a good treatment here (complete performances are prefered between collectors & the sound isn't that good, a complete copy of the Paradise Ballroom, Boston 4/8/1979 fm-show, bootlegged on the double-vinyl 'Back To Nature', now long deleted, would've been a better choice). For completists only.
