Not so bad but could be better...,
This review is from: Roberts Record R DAB/FM RDS/SD Digital Portable Radio Recorder (Electronics)
I purchased this mainly for the recording function and,so far, it has worked perfectly (although by mistake I managed a 24 hour recording!)The instruction for recording are not entirely accurate as it should say "..hold the info button until the display flashes then let go and press the tuning up or down buttons...." The instructions make it sound as though you hold both buttons together. However, once I had discovered this I have had no problems programming the recordings. It is true that you only have a limited time to respond for some of the categories but once you know what you are doing it is time enough.I have then been able to download programmes on my computer and play them back through iTunes, and through my hifi they sound pretty good. Deleting programmes from the SD card also appears to only be possible through the computer which is a little remiss as it should be possible through the radio. How about a firmware upgrade, Roberts?
The sound quality from the radio itself lacks distinction - my Tivoli PAL knocks spots off it. However, it is not so bad that you can't listen to it, just not the definition and clarity of the best.Overall I am satisfied particularly as it has enabled me to record a series without any problem. About the worst thing is the name...
