Britney's music has gone down! :(,

This review is from: Britney (Audio CD)
This album shows an unfortunate damage to Britney's musical abilities. After purchasing the album recently, I was quite disappointed by the music available. The album enrols with I'm A Slave 4 U, which is a new, saucy hip-hop rnb themed song. It's different to her other pop music and is good, but it was not a good song to release as a first single. Overprotected is a brilliant song and this should have been the first single no doubt. It's very angry, poppy and loveable, and the lyrics are good. The Rodney Jerkins produced tracks are good: Lonely is one of the best tracks on the album, where Britney expresses how her 'lover' needs to go. It's very rnb themed with rock and roll vibes; brilliant and should have been a single, no doubt. I Love Rock and Roll is good, but not as good as another one of Britney's remakes: Satisfaction. It's bearable but I don't think it should be released. Anticipating is very whinny, and jingly, and I have to skip over this. It's a 70s disco song and doesn't really fit into the album, so it's really an outcast. Boys is similar; 70s themed. It sounds very similar to Slave 4 U, and it's a very boring, dull & dispirited sort of song. The ballads on this album are droopy and weak. Not A Girl is quite good, but the lyrics contradict the song's meaning and it doesn't make much sense, though the music is nice and Britney's voice shows improvement. The other ballads usually have to be skipped, as they are weak and boring!. Bombastic Love is quite good but Britney warbles a lot on the song and there is a lot of whinning, and Cinderella is very low-key and the music is terrible. What It's Like To Be Me is okay, but very short. Britney's lyrics are difficult to comprehend due to the manufactured beats and Justin Timberlake's feminine vocals, which drown Britney's voice. Before the Goodbye is another of Britney's finest tracks on the album, which should have been released or should be released. It has those flairs like Baby One More Time, and has a dance, RnB theme. Let Me Be is dull and too short, and I don't know why it should be on the album then? This is an example of Britney wearing out of the pop world and entering the RnB world, but this hasn't done much good to her single and album sales. To allow the album to be successful, as well as the singles, I think:
1st Single should have been "Overprotected," because it's very memorable, poppy, appealing and a great all round song to be first and it's music/style is similar to Baby One More Time.
2nd Single should have been "Slave 4 U," as it allows fans to have had a longer time to explore the album and Britney's new style of music.
3rd Single was "Not A Girl"
4th Single should be a double side: "Lonely" and "Before the Goodbye," as both are no doubt absolute brilliant tracks and would shoot to number 1, and the best Britney has done. These tracks would be a great end to single releases from the album.
Overall, this album has some fantastic tracks but some unbearable ones too. A album which deserves a 5 needs each song to be fantastic and brilliant. This album does not have that, unfortunately.
