Better introduction books out there,
This review is from: Philosophy for Life: And other dangerous situations (Paperback)
This book for an introduction went way too much into the philosophers going back, their history etc., and didn't apply the theories into every day so that i could think of things differently. Having been written by someone who felt the benefit of philosophy he didn't share his findings. It was merely this philosopher believed in this or that and why. There are a few interesting stories on how it can be applied mainly to the Military but nothing much else. I was very disappointed and went on to buy 'Philosophy for everyday life' also available on Amazon, written by a professor at Cumbria University, which is a much better introduction and has led me to wanting to learn more. It questions your reasoning and makes you look at things in a different way whilst applying the theorists. Don't waste your money on this book. There are, in my opinion, better out there.

Will you share your opinion with us so that we/I can buy the better books, rather than waste our money on this?
