This review is from: Conception, Pregnancy and Birth: The Childbirth Bible for Today's Parents (Hardcover)
I was disappointed by this book - but maybe my expectations were too high.
It seems to be a good guide to everything from conception to birth, but I found that each section left me with more questions. It didn't go into quite enough detail.
For example, when looking at birth choices (e.g. home vs hospital vs water birth) each option had about 1/2 page of text with little discussion of the relative pros and cons. I found myself having to go to other books and the internet, in order to make a decision.
My husband found it tough to read, because it didn't give him the detailed facts he needed.
It's a great book if you want detailed colour pictures to guide you through your pregnancy and have easy access to medical teams who can answer the questions it raises.
Otherwise I found the Rough Guide to Pregnancy much more comprehensive, readable and useful.
