Don't buy it. You cannot resell & its a short game.,
This review is from: Fear 2: Project Origin (PC DVD) (Video Game)
Very disappointed with the simplistic console like gameplay, I mean glowing targets? PC games used to be sophisticated but when it comes to mashing the mouse to beat enemies, you've lost me.
Short, no savegame facility, scrappy story, poor AI, and the outrage of having to have steam authenticate you every time you want to play, and then not being able to sell your £25 game is a liberty to far.
They have lost me as a customer (and I've bought every Fear release). Poor game and shocking customer treatment. Avoid.

M. Silva says:
you must be the god of gamers... simplistic gameplay? were you playing doom 3, or something? and short? i have more than twenty five hour into the game, on two runs! one on normal, and one on hard mode. and if you don't like glowing things try to play the game without the slomo abilitiy you stupied man, maybe than the gameplay won't be so... simplistic, and can match your god like gamer qualities...

If you play the games before it in the series, then you will see what I mean about how the gameplay has changed for the worse, I take it from your insults that you are at home with the dumbed down version.

I too was disappointed with the console port, but I carried on - it gets better midway.
It never gets near the heights of the first FEAR, but these days, hardcore PC FPS are rare.
Agree with the steam licensing restrictions - if you pay full price, you should be able to sell it on.
I didn't, and settled for a superficial slice of amusement...
It's not bad value for a fiver at the moment.

F.E.A.R. franchise features one of the finest AI in the industry...F.E.A.R. 3 had brilliant AI, the way NPCs covered or ran towards me, made the game much harder but interesting at the same time. Definitely better than AI of 99% FPS games...
