A sweet Christmas nutcracker,
This review is from: Christmas On Nutcracker Court (Paperback)
Christmas is coming to Fairbrook, California and the people of the town are getting ready for it, each in their own way. Everyone has problems and worries; some have money difficulties and others have recently lost a loved one, which they all, at one time or another ask God for help.
The characters seem well developed and we begin to care about all of them from the very first pages. At times what seems missing, are more descriptive passages of these individuals we come to know and like, so that we can picture them in a clearer way. The pages are populated with quite a few main personalities. Carly is a recent divorcee with two adorable boys, but is facing eviction from her home and repossession of her car. Max is a seemingly grumpy man who is attempting to write a novel. Susan is recently widowed and would like to remarry and have children before she is too old. Joining these and others we have a mystical watcher, Mary-Margaret Di Angelo (translate that and you will have an idea of her identity).
One reoccurring theme is how and what acts of charity and compassion should and can be done in order to help others out. So we have many of today's problems. How can money worries be overcome and still provide your children a Christmas that is not one without a gift? Will love come to those who want it? Can there be a happy Christmas? This then leads to the power of prayer and a message of love and grace that can be given to all.
