Sorry to hear you didn't get what you expected - the problem with Procol's output is:-
1. It always seems pretty expensive on Amazon (for some reason).
2. More than 1 company has the publishing/distribution rights on Procol albums - this makes it hard to know exactly which version is being sold.
I recently bought 'A Salty Dog' from Amazon but didn't get the Bonus tracks which the Salvo releases seem to provide. My copy comes from 1992 and was released by Castle Communications ~ I am pretty happy with the original, no-frills track line-up but, to be honest, until it arrived I had no idea which version I was actually getting.
Perhaps the sellers of these albums need to be more specific when advertising their products?
Hope you can get the genuine version of 'A Salty Dog' and then give this album a proper rating - it is quite brilliant!
