Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bob Hope Collection [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] (DVD)
Why do Amazon and the reviewer above claim this set to consist of only three DVDs when, in fact, it is five containing five films - get your act together please. Reviews in the US rate the quality of this set very highly - warning - it is region one only.

I wish to comment on my own review which is erroneous - although there are five films in this set, they are on 3 dvd's

A Reader says:
Mr Ray asserts that this DVD contains five films vs. the three cited. There are TWO Bob Hope DVDs called "The Bob Hope DVD Collecton".
The Region I (US) DVD does contain five films:The Lemon Drop Kid, Road to Bali, Road to Rio, My Favorite Brunette, The Seven Little Foys. (on 3 DVDs)
The Region 2 (UK) DVD contains (as described above) three films: MY FAVOURITE BRUNETTE, THE ROAD TO BALI , and THE ROAD TO LEBANON. (also on 3 DVDs).
Two different collections for different markets, unfortunately with the same name.

I very quickly realised my error after posting my one sentence review, and am glad now to be afforded the opportunity to make a correction. First, I suggest that it is five DVDs when it is actually only three - but it does contain five films (why they did not make it six is beyond me but then, so is the marketing of most multi packs). It has also been pointed out to me by a reader that the region 2 edition does, in fact, contain only three films.
This one incident illustrates perfectly the confusion that is so prevalent when either seeing the Amazon summations or reading the reviewers. One often is not sure which edition is being referred to, thus making it difficult to ascertain not only issues such above but also running time, print quality etc - ideally, all editions should be coded and all reviews should specify the edition to which they refer, especially as they are published under all editions.

No argument going on here - just two would be purchasers seeking clarification from all the ad hoc marketing that goes on.
