Not bad, but not all Britpop tunes.....,
This review is from: Live Forever - The Best Of Britpop (Audio CD)
This is not a bad 'Britpop' album, it has a good selection of those killer tunes from the mid 90's in there, like catchy pop 'Parklife' by Blur (all the people.. so many people....!) and real top rock tunes 'Riverboat Song' by Ocean Colour Scene. They really capture the excitement of those of years. So if you're after an average nostalgia cd its great!!
The only down side to this album is some of the other content which seems to have been stuck on just to fill up the numbers. For example 'Angels' by Robbie Williams (1997- when Britpop was over) and way too many dance tunes! And also a few tracks that were barely in the same decade; 'The Only One I know' and 'Loaded' are late 80's/early 90's! The time period for Britpop seems to have blurred slightly it seems! And another thing- Why has this album missing so many great Oasis and Blur and other classic tunes? (Wonderwall a great example, probably THE Britpop anthem!) People who buy this are missing out on some great tunes!
An average collection.
