This book is no joke,
This review is from: The Killing Joke (Paperback)
When I initially purchased this book I was unaware of Anthony Horowitz extensive TV and film writing career and was simply intrigued by the synopsis on the rear cover.
The book didn't dissapoint It has everything I desire in a novel, it was funny, thought provoking and kept me intrigued until the end.
The novel is based around Guy Fletcher who over hears a sick joke in a pub which we can all to relate to I'm sure, the only difference is rather than just simply ignore the aformentioned joke he confronts the joke teller to which he gets assaulted.
He then makes it his mission to track down the source of the joke where he finds himself in a conspiracy where he finds himself getting followed by an englishman, an irishman and a scotsman, an army of nuns, slips in a bannana skin and various other mishaps involving comic cliches during his journey.
I can't recommend this book enough. Idiot Box
