Poor quality clips let down an otherwise good pair of braces,
This review is from: BRUBAKER Mens Clip-on Braces for Trousers 4-Clip Model in Gift Box various Colours and Patterns (Apparel)
I thought I'd steer clear of the cheaper alternatives and go for the expensive braces, thinking in my mind that price would be proportional to quality.
My first impression was not one of exceptional quality. The elasticated bands had a cheap feel to them, and the clips looked like those you get on temporary ID badges... metal outside and cheap transparent plastic inside. My experience with the ID badge clips is that after a few uses, they completely lose their grip, and I was hoping that wouldn't be the case with these braces which the retailer prices originally at £35.
I was wrong however... one of the clips broke after just 3-4 days of use. The mechanism of the clips is clearly very very inferior and isn't able to withstand the strain of holding a pair of trousers for an entire day.
The braces themselves were satisfactory. The finishing was a bit tacky, but I liked the faux leather in the back.
Unfortunately they had to be returned because of the weakest link - the clips.
