Every disc is sratched: Shame on you, Paramount, for these package!,
This review is from: Frasier: The Complete Seasons 1-11 [DVD] (DVD)I love the show frasier. As a not native speaker watching such a great TV Show like this helps me, to improve my english - above all it is more entertaining than watching news in englisch.
But the package is a shame. The discs are in slipcases made of carton.
Because of this, every disc shows scratches on the sensitive surface. Depending on the kind and intensity of these scratches,
your player has problems, to play one or two shows per disc correctly.
Regardless of how careful you take the disc out of the slipcase they are scrached. So I guess these scratches came from putting the disc inside during the packaging process.
So my advice is: Don't buy this box. Better buy the seasons in standard plastic boxes.

The Reviewer says:
I had bought one of these in an HMV store and had it replaced twice, all were the same. The original complete release was in better packaging and that is going for quite a price now. It cost me £110 for the individual releases rather than £49 for the boxset, and the space they take up is a lot more, but at least I don't have scratched discs, and I had HMV credit to use (although I would have liked to have used that for something else), so I only spent £40 of my own cash
MASH, West Wing, Sopranos and Columbo came in proper packaging for the boxsets, which didn't take up more room than they needed, but were in plastic cases, and did not have scratched discs. It makes it easier to carry a whole series around in a boxset when you want to take it on holiday with you to watch, but I rather have discs that work
OZ is packaged the same (in cardboard) and although that is only six seasons (not as expensive to buy separately), there is a bonus disc, so if I buy these separately I don't get this, or I buy it and have discs that don't play. At least Frasier did not have a bonus disc in the boxset
I know it doesn't bother some people but when you buy a substantial boxset like this, you want to know they put thought and care into the packaging, as these aren't things you buy every week due to the expense

I had the exact same problem. Some of the sleeves were even ripped, presumably from when the discs were forced in. I am writing to the DVD manufacturer to complain, the lack of effort put into protecting the DVDs in this set takes the biscuit.

July 2012 and the problem is still here! At least Amazon have now removed it from their sale pending a review of the quality issue.
