Outstanding and No Issues - August 2013,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: NETGEAR DGND3700-100UKS N600 Dual Band Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router for Phone Line Connections (Accessory)
I'm with BT. I started to have internet drops on my Netgear DG834 which Ive had for about 7 years. I had to keep rebooting it each day. So for a while I used the BT home Hub 2.0 to get me by.
Was quite worried that I wouldnt be able to get another router that would do what I wanted and more, ( as the BT Homehub could only do a fee things and blocked other services I needed ) but finally found this one, the N600 which seemed to be what I was after.
Having read the read the reviews, they did worry me a little, about users having the same issue of dropped connections and firmware issues etc... however I went for it and for the last 2 weeks its been solid, no problems what so ever. No drops, no problems and does much more, in addition, im very impressed with the dual wi-fi, it is amazingly fast. ( Only certain wi-fi devices can take advantage of it, such as my ipad mini, so its terriffic.
Has 2 USB ports and print server feature ( although not used the print server feature yet ).
The device is about a third bigger than the Netgear DG834G, but thats understandable, as this has more rear slots to cope with etc.
The stand was a bit strange. Its not removable as such. Well it is, but you have to give it a small wiggle, as its glued in for some reason... Ive no idea why. The glue is very small and just needs a little wiggle around, so the stand should just pull out, well mine did anyway. There is NO need to take it apart.
It gets a little warm, but nothing to worry about.
5/5 Get this all in one router!
Hope this helps.
