1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY - not the advertised album, 19 Mar. 2013
By
This review is from: Live at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral (Audio CD)
This is not the new CD of orchestral reworks by Ian McCulloch from Union Chapel being advertised... this is an overstock from a Pledge project and not Produced By Youth and not what has been featured on Bunnymen Facebook.

Hugely disappointing when this turned up as it's an old recording that isn't nearly as good as what you get in the Holy Ghosts package... get that instead as it's cheaper for 2 discs as well and includes his new studio album Pro Patria Mori

The product description seems to be correct at the time of writing so not sure your warning/review is still valid.

Incidentally, I think the Live At Liverpool Cathedral is a great stripped down live CD. Maybe you were overly critical as you bought it expecting something totally different ?

Agree on the price point and that the "Holy Ghost" dual disc deal is hard to match. However, this IS a nice recording and serves at least as an additional live McCulloch show. Last I checked he has only two live performances and I'm pleased to own 'em both.

What a strange review. So you order the wrong item then give it 1 star when it arrives because you failed to purchase the correct album.
