You do want everything to be good, you don't tune in hoping for a lemon, but Half Broken Things is a such an exceptional novel that I couldn't believe this would do it justice - yet of course I also could not possibly stay away. I felt like they were messing with my own book, that's how concerned I was but now I'm going back to everyone I told about the novel and telling them to see this as well.

It took me a little while to get used to the cast; the book is very vivid and I had definite images of all the characters. But I think I just forgot about that, got caught back up in the tale. And in many ways it feels like its own thing; I stopped thinking about the cast, I stopped thinking about the book, I was just riveted to it.
