Good stuff but available on the NHS,
This review is from: Cica-Care Silicone Gel Sheet 12cm x 6cm (Personal Care)
I have to stress that I am talking about silicone gel patches in general and not about this particular brand. However I have had extensive amounts of surgery over the years particularly on the top and palms of my hands and silicone gel has really helped. It isn't a quick fix but to certainly helps with keloid scarring and I struggle a great deal with this - the slightest cut turns into a lump.
My GP surgery was able to prescribe something very similar to this product and it is the one that I have used for years. Is is made by a company called Silgel and comes as a sheet that you peel off and stick on. It can take a few days for a pharmacy to get it as it's not something they usually carry, but it works out significantly cheaper than the above product.
Some people have complained that it doesn't stick. It's not meant to - it doesn't require pressure to make it work either. You need to put some tape/light bandage/a plaster over it to keep it in place, particularly if it's on somewhere that moves or bends. It's not meant to stick because you need to take it off and wash it before you put it back on again.
As I say, it's not an overnight fix but it really can work with thick lumpy scars - I am using on my carpal tunnel scars at the moment.
