Historical Fiction, but not what I was looking for,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Tales of Ancient Rome (Kindle Edition)
I was looking for Historical Fiction, but found this not what I was looking for. I prefer reading stories set in the 18th or 19th Century so this was not a aisle choice.

M. S. Watts says:
Surely you should base a review on the way the book was written? The fact that you prefer 18th/19th Century books is neither here nor there, this is not the authors fault. The clue surely is in the title? Tales of Ancient Rome. This is perhaps more your fault and by reviewing this book as you have is like a vegetarian reviewing a delicious juicy steak. People judge whether to buy a book based on reviews and I think you are being unfair.

Based on Mrs Dring's insightful review, I will certainly buy this book. I love 18th Century ancient Romans.

I always find using the Look Inside option very helpful when deciding on what the book is about. It would certainly have helped Mrs Dring to notice the difference between a great story written by a fantastic author and dross like Mills and Boon!
