This review is from: Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor with Kinect Adventures (Xbox 360) (Video Game)I was truely impressed with the kinect. Firtsly it is very easy to set up, basically plug it in, click the controller a few times, wave your hand and ur in; from that point it says what it does on the box: your body truley is the controller. Switch between voice and body signals to control both the dashboard and games.
Some people have mentioned this 'massive lag' I personally have not noticed anything like this and wonder if some recallibration is needed for some people as mine runs very smoothly (except on the odd cheap game such as carnival ones). Additionally it is wonderful to see kinect features in controller based games, such as the new Halo remastered version; I hope this is the way games go, with added kinect features to merge together controller and kinect based playing as not all games can be soley with controller free.
Kinect Adventures is a very fun game that can keep you entertianed in cooperative or solo playing until you decide youre too exhausted. And the Kinect itself, if you have the 6ft, is amazing; with voice crontol the xbox follows your demand and with hand movements you can easily navigate your way around your kinect and through games, which then use your whole body to play.
My only critisism is that personally we found it slightly difficult at first to get the cooperative runing smoothly in kinect adventures if someone wanted to jump in or out, however now we seem to have that running smoothly with a bit of practice.
5 stars, extremely impressed in this technology; the gimic, the zune kinect mix features, the fact it gets you up and going and the huge amount of fun it is to control a character on the screen with nothing but your body and voice. Also, now the game list for kinect is growing i think it is an essential for Xbox owners.
