This review is from: Bigjigs Wooden Toys Rolling Sorter (Toy)
This is a lovely traditional wooden shape sorter and it is substantially made. However, my 8mth old daughter found the design flaws within 10 minutes! The circle shaped block can be posted through two holes, its own hole and the semi circle hole as the semi circle hole is too big, when the whole point of these toys is that you have to find the right hole for each piece that is a fairly big flaw! The triangle shape has been made cheaply from a square block so it has four square faces and only two triangular ones which is pretty confusing for a small person as if they try to match the square face to a hole, it won't go through the square hole. It should be a prism shape.
And finally, the bars in the drum aren't close enough together so some of the shapes fall out.
(The toy is recommended from 12 mths as the blocks are fairly small, but it is ok from a younger age for supervised play)

I liked that the shapes could go into the different holes as babies also get to learn about size as well as shape. If its the wrong shape it can still go in if its smaller than the hole.
