A classic for the British Herpetologist's library.,

This review is from: The British Amphibians and Reptiles (Collins New Naturalist Series) (Hardcover)
This book is wonderful, a sure classic for any British herpetologist's library. It is of course not the most up to date book, but why would you expect that from something published in 1951?
If you are a fan of older books with plenty of back-detail and are a herpetologist or even just a naturalist this is a wonderful book to buy. It's packed with information (which you can update by reading the latter revisions by Deryk Frazer and by Beebee & Griffiths) certainly a must-have for the book shelf or library of any keen British naturalist.
On a personal note, the older slightly worn second or even third hand copies are quite alluring and feel as though they have some history to them which makes for a nice read.
