Pretty little speakers with a very enjoyable sound,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Q Acoustics 2010i Award Winning Bookshelf Speakers in Walnut (Electronics)
I have bought these speakers about 6 months ago and I am still not tired of listening to them. That is perhaps the biggest compliment I can give them. But you obviously want to know more about this product, so here we go.
The speakers arrived in a cardboard box that didn't exactly look fancy, but it did the job protecting them. Also included in the box was a manual telling you how to install them and what settings to use on your receiver.
The first thing you will notice when you take the speakers out of the box is how solid they feel, and how pretty the walnut finish is. I can only compare it to the graphite one (haven't seen the glossy versions), but the walnut one is way better looking. Personally I prefer their look with the grille on, but you can also take it off if you want.
But the most important part about a speaker is sound quality, of course. So I added my Onkyo TX-SR313 receiver to the mix and turned it on. I was greeted with a smooth, tight and full bodied sound, that is just very enjoyable to listen to. It is not the most detailed or exciting speaker (which is mainly because it doesn't have a very bright tweeter, although it still does a good job in these two areas), but it makes up for that by being absolutely not tiring to listen to. I have also listened to other speakers in this price range which were a tad more detailed and exciting, but after about 10 minutes my ears were tired of their sound. To these speakers I can listen for hours and still want more.
What is also surprising is how much bass these little cones can produce, and how tight that bass is. I also have the 2070Si subwoofer, but for music I don't really need it (films and games is another story obviously).
Honestly there is very little I can fault these speakers for. I highly recommend them!
