Excellent Detail, Quality Diecast - Shame about the plastic,

This review is from: Sunstar 909 H1001 1963 Aston Martin DB5 (Blue/ Reg/ Green) (Toy)
I picked up a Sunstar H1005 model in Silver, the only differential being the colour (H1001 green, H1002 red). First off - if you're considering buying this for children - bits WILL break off / get broken - even if they're very careful! :))
The diecast shell is fantastic quality - really heavy and solid. Doors / bonnet, hinges also great. Paintwork is top class along with the body decals.
Next - Interior is really well detailed as well with full working steering wheel that operates the front wheels - nice touch. Spoked wire wheels are great (discs brakes on the back!) -amazing together with the engine block and transmission underneath. Detailing on this is really first class.
The downside with this is the plastic parts (door handles, wipers, mirrors etc) are extremely fragile and can be broken upon removal from box. The handles can come off just opening the doors. If you want to leave in the box fine, but if you want to remove it you may need some superglue etc handy, just in case. The plastic chassis is not bad, but could do with reinforcing. Overall, this is a quality model, but it's easy to see where Sunstar cut the costs, you could hunt around for a deal though and it's still much cheaper than the Autoart equivalent
