This review is from: Remembering... Kenny Everett (BBC Audio) (Audio CD)
I must admit to being biased on this one - I discovered Kenny Everett during my early teens and for me he was always right at the top. When by chance I heard this double CD was being released it was a must-have.
There's loads of good stuff on the discs, there are clips and jingles galore but also excerpts of him being interviewed on Desert Island discs, also by Paul Gambaccini, plus a great interview he did with the Beatles ('68 I think) which essentially boiled down to the lot of them larking around during a studio session. All-in-all around 2 hours of material.
Worth saying that this collection is entirely from the BBC archives, so if you wanted to hear anything from e.g. Capital, its not here. This seems to be true also of all the DVDs etc I've seen of Ev - because he flitted between the Beeb and commercial stations, anything I've found contains only a partial anthology of his work. But I'm sure that any really comprehensive anthology would be a copyright nightmare.
