This review is from: Shoot the Damn Dog: A Memoir of Depression (Paperback)
This book is interesting, enlightening, informative and moving.
As someone who works with people with depression, it really helped me 'get it'.
Unlike much literature in this genre, it is well written.
It is painfully honest.
I agree with all the positive comments. I've read it several times and I think she does an amazing service on behalf of people who suffer from recurrent depression. And if you've had it three or more times, that's quite likely to be you. Now read a book on mindfulness to find out why meditation helps her so much (sorry if that's a spoiler)
