This review is from: Yan Kit's Classic Chinese Cookbook (Hardcover)
A great book to identify the different vegetables and utensils used in chinese cooking, but the actual recipes are the same as any other book. Nothing exciting. In fact there are better chinese cooking books, like 1000 chinese recipes.

The author of this review seems to specialise in 'meh' comments and live in a permanent state of disappointment. Perhaps he or she should have noted that this book was first published more than 25 years ago and the recipes are in other books because they have been copied from here. After 27 years of using this book I am still finding new things in it aand have still not found a better intro to Chinese cooking. It's called 'classic' for a reason.
