The book is wonderful but the electronic version is awful. Why can't they use the wonderful new translation? This one is so clunky that it is almost painful. Made me want to read the book in the original Russian

A comment was made in a previous review that a lot of the older translations are out of copyright and now free on Kindle. Newer, and perhaps better, translations are I'm sure available at a cost

M. Dowden says:
You can have whatever translation that you want although I don't know whether all English translations are available in ebook versions. If it isn't out of copyright though you will have to pay. As D. Greer points out, they are available - at a cost.
