How evocative is this? This is 1968 reborn, students at the barricades, black and white pictures on the tv and wearing your black polo neck to school ("Miss, I'm cold"). Georges Moustaki's gravel voice and the ballads that 35 years on you are still word perfect in. The digital remastering is a slight disappointment; somehow the crackles and pops of the record add to the smoky, romantic Parisian wannabe atmos. But buy it to relive your youth .... and hear some great songs again. It's been unavailable too long.
