OK but almost out-of-date?,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: I5/OS & Office 2003 Integration Handbook (Paperback)
The book gave me the information that I needed but is somewhat overpriced for today's market.
The book was written 4 years ago so it does not cover Office 2007 and therefore many of the screen-shots will only be familiar to those who have used Office 2003 and earlier versions.
The sample files for the book appear to be no longer available! I could not find the download page as described in the book and have not yet received a reply to my emails to the publisher and one of the authors - I have only been waiting 10 days so far but have finished reading the book already. No errata was found either (but of course there may not have been any).
I think that 100 pages devoted to Microsoft Access was a bit excessive. There were too many devoted to describing how to create Queries, Forms and Reports - I already have books on those subjects.
In summary the book gave me information, not readily available elsewhere, to enable me to adapt my current applications (originally created in Office 2003 but now running in Office 2007) to interface with an iSeries database. So in that respect it was good but it would have been better had sample files (and any errata) been available.

No reply to my emails to the publisher and one of the authors so I have to assume that they have lost interest in their audience. Consequently I would think very carefully before recommending this book.
