This review is from: Mathematical Techniques: An Introduction for the Engineering, Physical, and Mathematical Sciences (Paperback)
I'm a masters student, returning to uni after a few years working as an engineer. This book is gem. Any time I come across some math I feel unsure about I look to this book for a clear and concise explanation.
Part 1 covers differentiation &complex numbers, Part 2 matrics &vectors, Part 3 integration & differential eqns, Part 4 Fourier & Laplace, Part 5 multivariable calculus, Part 6 discrete math, Part 7 probability. There are plenty of examples to illustrate the theory & further exercises with answers at the back.
For those who use math as a tool in their field of study (science/engineering), this is a handy book to have around.
